SOUND ADVENTURE
Epic composition by Ruslan Sirota - Live @ Wohl amphitheatre - July13th 2017
The wonderkind Sirota wrote this piece for CONFUSION when he was only 16 years old (also featured on the album "Custom Made", 1998), and this clip captures the first time it was played for a live audience since the group disbanded back in 2000.
CONFUSION
Live @ Barby's - July 20th 2017
Composition and arrangement by Asaf Kofler and Itay Lasky. This tune is the first piece of music the band ever played upon formation back in 1995, and therefore also bears it's name (or is it the other way around?). The intro is actually a separate piece called "Rhythm Session" By Slap Bass master, Asaf Kofler, later combined with the tune "Confusion" on CONFUSION's album "Custom Made" (1998). Here it's being played for a live audience 17 years after the group disbanded, at the "Braby" - a Tel Aviv club CONFUSION used to call home.
NICA'S DREAM
An original Fusion Arrangement of the Horace Silver classic standard - live from the first reunion concert opening for UZEB July 2017
Back in 1998 a bunch of teenagers decided to write a Fusion arrangement for a Jazz standard. The bass player came up with a killing slap bass part which was met by a matching and as killing drum groove. The guitarist and keyboard player worked out a nice modal reharm for the melody and some big band inspired kicks for the B part. The original composition also needed a C part and some twists and turns for the solos - no problem, you're welcome Horace. 19 years later, and it's still a show stopper.
